Mission, Vision, Values

Mission

We believe in innovation and revelation.
With every note, with every breath, we offer performances of the highest quality. In this 2025-2026 Season, we begin our new and ambitious education program. We come together in order to shed light on and sustain the relevance of these remarkable pieces of art in the twenty-first century.

Vision

We create a sanctuary. Away from the noise of dissonance, a world enriched by societally-relevant Early Music experiences.

Values

We believe in a kind and caring community.

We believe in the strength of diverse artistic perspectives and respecting the rich variety of relationships with music of the past.

We believe in excellence and in research.

We bring light to old music and music from today that continue to inspire. Through ritual and celebration, we strive to recreate the original performances of music works guided by scholars and the world's leading exponents in the area of early music.

We believe in Sustainability.

Through scholarship, historical practices, traditions of the music, investment, preservation, and recording.

We believe in Exploration.

Driven by curiosity, through collaboration and interpretation we foster meaningful relationships.

We believe in Community.

Providing space for appreciators of Early Music to build connections and engage in experiences through a shared love of Early Music.

We believe in Social Responsibility.

Placing modern society at the centre of early music by encouraging dialogue with marginalized communities, fostering safe spaces for our audiences and artists, and advocating for sectoral change. We make these commitments in recognition that discrimination and exclusion in all their forms are realities in our society, and we endeavor to use the power of music, of kindness, of respect and openness to promote understanding and change.

You, our dear audience, are at the heart of our work.
